Purpose
The Catalog Settings page is one of the first steps in preparing your buyback business in Reusely. This setup defines which items customers can trade in, ensuring they can easily find eligible products and begin buyback activities without friction. A well-prepared catalog is essential for a smooth customer and team experience.
Steps
1. Access the Catalog Settings Page
From any page, open Settings by clicking the Gear icon in the bottom-left sidebar.
Under Basic Settings, select Widget.
Navigate to Catalog Settings.
2. Add or Remove Items and Categories
Select a Category.
Use the search field to find a brand or model.
Enable or disable all models under a brand with the toggle next to the brand.
To enable specific models only:
Click the expand icon beside the brand.
Toggle the button next to a particular model.
(Optional) If not ready, a reminder pop-up shows you to set conditions and pricing for enabled items.
3. Price Your Catalog Items
After enabling categories, brands, and models, proceed the Price Editor to ensure all active items are correctly priced.
You can:
Automatically sync pricing using Price Sync, or
Accurate pricing is required before items can be used in buyback offers.
4. Import Your Custom Catalog
Importing a custom catalog is the customizable option if your team has already prepared item data. Imported items behave like standard catalog items, including custom brands, models, and product images.
How to Import a Custom Catalog
Click the three-dot icon next to More Categories.
Select Import Custom Catalog.
Download the CSV template.
Fill in your custom item data.
Example:
SKU: SKU-005-05 (Each item must have a unique SKU)
Brand: Apple
Product Name: Apple iPhone Air Unlocked 256GB
Item: iPhone Air
Item Type: Smartphone
Upload the file by selecting or dragging it into the Import Data area.
Click the Import Custom Catalog button to import your data in real time.
Before You Start (Import Requirements)
To ensure a successful import:
The model must not match any existing model in Reusely’s default catalog.
brand_logo must be identical for all rows under the same brand.
model_image must be identical for all rows with the same brand and model.
Image URLs must be publicly accessible (no login or authentication required).
Supported image formats: .webp and .svg only.
Additional notes:
All imported items showed under the Other category.
Editing imported items is not currently supported. To update an item:
Go to the Other category.
Toggle the existing items Off.
Re-import a CSV file containing only the updated items.
The new version will automatically show, while the old version remains disabled.
Manually, you must also configure pricing, conditions, and other required details.
5. Request for Unavailable Items
If you can’t find an item in the default catalog, you can also directly request it from us, even if you need a lot of new data. Here’s why it's more beneficial:
You will receive accurate and instantly synced data in the widget for a smooth buyback experience.
Have a large amount of data? No problem, we will handle it.
Click Request a Device at the bottom of the Catalog Settings page.
Fill out and submit your request.
We will process your request and update you via the Changelog.
