Roles and Permissions in Reusely

What Each Role Can Access in Reusely

Written by Althaaf Rachman Hafidz

Purpose

This guide helps you understand the default roles in Reusely and the permissions associated with each role. By knowing what each role can and cannot access, you can assign the right level of access to your team.

Default Roles in Reusely

Owner

The Owner is automatically assigned to the account creator and holds the highest level of access in Reusely. Owners can manage every feature, setting, and user, including sensitive information. They are also the only role that can transfer account ownership. This role is ideal for business owners or primary administrators who need full control.

Notes

  • Full platform access, including sensitive and billing-related settings.

  • Can transfer ownership to another user.

  • Default permissions cannot be changed.

Admin

Admins have broad access across almost all operational and settings areas. They can manage workflows, update company and catalog configurations, handle offers and payouts, and create or edit custom roles. Admins are responsible for overseeing day-to-day processes and supporting team operations.

Admins have access to Custom Location functionality. However, they must first be granted access to a Custom Location by the Owner before they can view or manage that location. Once access is granted, Admins can perform their normal administrative tasks within the locations they have been assigned.

Notes

  • Can create, edit, and delete custom roles.

  • Can view certain financial and sensitive information depending on the plan.

  • Must be granted access to a Custom Location by the Owner before they can access it.

  • Default permissions cannot be changed.

User

Users have access to the essential modules needed for daily work, including processing offers, managing inventory, assisting customers, and viewing reports. They can also access basic settings, but with limited permissions. Users can invite others, but only as User roles. Users do not have access to Custom Location management. They can only access locations that have been specifically assigned to them through their role and permissions.

Notes

  • Cannot access add-ons.

  • Cannot add or modify a custom role.

  • Can only invite new Users (not Admins or Owners).

  • Cannot manage Custom Locations.

  • Can only view and access Custom Locations they have been assigned permission to use.

  • Default permissions cannot be changed.

Custom Role

Create custom roles tailored to your team’s needs. You can define the Role Name, add a Description, and configure specific Permissions. Customize access across the Main Menu, Settings, PII (Pro Plan only), Buyback, and Custom Locations, giving each role only the access they need.

Custom Roles also support location-based permissions for Custom Locations. Administrators can assign access to individual Custom Locations, allowing users to view and operate only within the locations they are authorized to use.

When Custom Location permissions are configured:

  • Users only see Custom Locations they have permission to access.

  • The dashboard location selector displays only permitted Custom Locations.

  • Unauthorized locations are hidden from the user throughout the platform.

  • In the In-App Trade-In flow, location selection is automatically skipped when the user only has access to a single Custom Location.

Notes

  • Only the Owner and Admins can create or modify custom roles.

  • Custom Location access can be assigned on a per-location basis.

  • Users can only view and access Custom Locations they have permission to use.

  • Dashboard location filters only display locations available to the user.

  • The In-App Trade-In flow automatically skips location selection when only one Custom Location is available.
