Pricing Setup Guide

Configure manual pricing, Price Sync, pricing rules, bulk pricing, and location-specific adjustments.

Written by Althaaf Rachman Hafidz

Purpose

The Pricing section allows you to configure how much you pay customers for the products they sell.

You can manage pricing using:

  • Manual Pricing

  • Price Sync

  • Pricing Rules

  • Mass Pricing

  • Price Upload

  • Location Price Adjustments

Each condition can have its own price, giving you control over the payout offered for each product and condition.

Before You Begin

Before configuring pricing, make sure:

  • The products you want to price are enabled.

  • The appropriate Condition Groups have been assigned.

  • You know the payout amounts you want to offer.

  • You have a supported pricing source if you plan to use Price Sync.

  • You have a completed pricing file if you plan to use Price Upload.

Open Pricing

Go to:

Settings → Catalog

  • Open the category you want to configure.

  • Select the model you want to price.

  • Open the Pricing section.

Each condition assigned to the model will have its own price.

Configure Manual Pricing

Manual Pricing allows you to enter the payout amount directly.

Select the price cell for the condition you want to update.

Enter your desired price.

For example:

Condition

Price

Brand New

$500

Excellent

$450

Good

$375

Fair

$300

Manual prices give you direct control over individual products and conditions.

Configure Price Sync

If you want supported product prices to update automatically, you can configure Price Sync.

Click: Manage Price Sync If Price Sync has never been configured, you'll be guided through the setup process. If Price Sync is already configured, you can:

  • Create a new setup.

  • Edit an existing setup.

  • Disable syncing.

Price Sync automatically updates supported products based on your selected pricing source.

Pricing Overrides

You can override Price Sync when you need more control over a specific product or condition.

For example, you can use Price Sync for most products while manually setting a different payout for a specific condition. The manual price will override the synced value for that condition.

You can also use another Price Sync configuration to override the current synced pricing when you want a product or group of products to follow a different pricing source or configuration.

This allows you to keep automatic pricing for most of your catalog while making specific pricing adjustments when needed, without having to disable Price Sync entirely.

Configure Pricing Rules

Pricing Rules allow you to automatically apply pricing relationships between conditions.

For example:

  • Brand New → Excellent

  • Excellent → Good

This is useful when the difference between conditions follows a consistent pricing pattern. Using Pricing Rules can reduce the amount of manual work required when managing many products.

Use Mass Pricing

If you need to update pricing for multiple models, use:

More Actions → Mass Pricing

Mass Pricing allows you to:

  • Apply a Markup.

  • Apply a Markdown.

  • Match prices.

This is useful when you need to make the same type of pricing change across multiple products.

Upload Pricing in Bulk

If you already have pricing prepared in a spreadsheet, you can upload it instead of manually editing individual prices.

Go to: More Actions → Price Upload

  • Download the pricing template.

  • Update the prices in the CSV or XLSX file.

  • Upload the completed file.

The uploaded pricing will update the corresponding products in your catalog.

Configure Location Price Adjustments

Location Price Adjustments allow you to increase payouts for specific models at selected locations without changing your base catalog pricing. This is useful when you want to offer different payouts at different locations.

For example, you could provide a higher payout for a specific device at one location while keeping the standard catalog price everywhere else.

Open Location Price Adjustments

Go to:

Pricing Details → Location Offer Adjustments

or: Price Editor → Location Offer Adjustments

If you don't have any rules yet, click: Create Adjustment

Create an Adjustment Rule

Configure the following:

Rule Name: Enter a name that makes the purpose of the rule easy to understand.

Locations: Select one or more locations where the adjustment should apply.

Models: Select one or more products.

Adjustment Type

Choose:

  1. Percentage

  2. Fixed amount

Adjustment Value: Enter the amount of the adjustment for each selected model.

When everything is configured, click: Save Rule

Eligible Conditions

Only the following conditions are eligible for Location Price Adjustments:

  • Active conditions

  • Non-recycling conditions

  • Conditions with a price greater than 0

Supported Purchasing Methods

Location Price Adjustments support:

  • Mail-In

  • In-Store

  • Custom Location

They do not support:

  • Easy Offer

  • Batch Quote

  • Sell Instantly

  • Hand Off

How Location Pricing Is Calculated

When a Location Price Adjustment applies, the final offer price is calculated in this order:

  1. Base Catalog Price

  2. Conditional Question adjustments

  3. Location Price Adjustment

  4. Final Offer Price

For example, if the base catalog price is $100 and a location adjustment increases the payout by 10%, the location-adjusted price becomes $110, assuming no other adjustments apply.

Customers see the final adjusted price.

The Location Price Adjustment itself is not displayed as a separate bonus or adjustment in the Widget or Customer Portal.

Reviewing Adjusted Pricing

Internally, the Offer Details page displays:

  • Original payout

  • Final payout

  • Whether a Location Price Adjustment was applied

This allows your team to understand how the final offer price was calculated.

Understanding Pricing Configuration

The Catalog Overview provides information about your pricing configuration.

Price Synced

Shows the number of models currently using Price Sync.

Manually Priced

Shows the number of models using Manual Pricing.

Pricing Configuration

Shows information such as:

  • Price Sync source

  • Pricing rules

  • Sync configuration

If multiple Price Sync configurations exist, you can review each configuration individually.

Recommended Pricing Setup Order

For a new product, we recommend:

  1. Enable the product in the Catalog.

  2. Assign a Condition Group.

  3. Configure prices for each condition.

  4. Configure Price Sync if required.

  5. Add Manual Pricing overrides if needed.

  6. Configure Pricing Rules if applicable.

  7. Add Location Price Adjustments if needed.

  8. Review the final pricing.

  9. Test the customer offer flow.

Tips & Notes

  • Make sure every active condition has the correct price.

  • Use Price Sync when you want supported pricing to update automatically.

  • Use Manual Pricing when you need direct control over specific prices.

  • Pricing Rules can reduce repetitive manual work.

  • Use Mass Pricing when updating many products at once.

  • Review Location Price Adjustment rules regularly.

  • Remember that Location Price Adjustments affect the final payout rather than changing the base catalog price.

  • Export your catalog regularly to maintain a backup of your pricing configuration.

Summary

The Pricing section gives you control over the payouts offered for your products and conditions.

Whether you use Manual Pricing, Price Sync, Pricing Rules, bulk pricing, or Location Price Adjustments, you can configure pricing to match your business workflow.

Once your products have the correct prices for their assigned conditions, you can test the buyback flow to make sure customers receive the expected offer amounts.
