How to setup automatic return label generation for your Reusely account

Written by Sayed Ahmed

If you plan to process Mail-In buybacks, we recommend enabling at least one shipping integration in your account's Add-Ons page. When active, the Reusely widget will automatically generate shipping labels for customers creating Mail-In buyback offers.

Enable Shipping Integrations for Seamless Mail-In Buybacks

Benefits of Shipping Integrations

  1. True-Return Labels

    • Shipping labels generated by Reusely are true-return labels.

    • No upfront cost: You are only charged when the label is dropped off by the customer.

    • Cost-saving: Saves your business time and money during the buyback process.

  2. Streamlined Logistics

    • Automatically generate labels for Mail-In buybacks.

    • Reduce manual intervention for improved efficiency.

Shipping Integration Options

At the time of writing, you can choose from three shipping integration options:

  • EasyPost

  • ShipEngine

  • Shipmondo

Integration Features

  • Provide a shipping API for seamless integration with Reusely.

  • Support for multiple carriers: USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Australia Post, and more.

  • Link your existing carrier account or create one directly through the integration.

Advanced Shipping Rules

If you enable multiple shipping integrations, you can configure Advanced Shipping Rules on the Manage Shipping settings page.

Advanced Shipping Rules allow you to select which shipping service to use based on specific conditions. You can configure rules using the following conditions:

  • If Condition
Select a condition, then choose the shipping service to use when the condition is met.

  • If Model

Select a device model, then choose the shipping service to use for that model.

  • If Offer Amount

Set an offer amount condition using one of the following operators:

    • Greater Than or Equal to

    • Less Than or Equal to

    • Equal to

    • Greater Than

    • Less Than

Enter the amount in dollars, then select the shipping service to use when the condition is met.

  • If State

Select a state, then choose the shipping service to use for offers associated with that state.

Setting Up Your Shipping Courier

Here are the links to detailed guides for setting up each integration:

Logo of easypost with a blue hexagon featuring two white check marks on the left and the brand name in bold blue text on the right.

Logo of ShipEngine featuring a cogwheel icon in blue with curly braces on either side, followed by the text SHIPENGINE in bold dark blue letters.

Logo of Shipmondo featuring a stylized purple circle with a white triangular shape inside, resembling a compass needle. The word shipmondo is written in bold, dark blue lowercase letters to the right of the image.

Shipping Integration Error Messages

If a shipping label cannot be generated, Reusely will now display clearer, provider-specific error messages instead of a generic error notification. This makes it easier to identify the root cause and resolve the issue.

Examples of errors you may see include:

  • Invalid or incomplete shipping address.

  • Incorrect postal code or country information.

  • Carrier account authentication issues.

  • Insufficient funds or account balance with your shipping provider.

  • Missing or invalid shipping service configuration.

  • Carrier-specific validation errors, such as unsupported address types or service restrictions.

These messages are returned directly by your shipping provider whenever possible, allowing you to quickly identify what needs correction before generating the shipping label again.

Note

Shipping label validation is performed by your selected shipping provider (EasyPost, ShipEngine, or Shipmondo). If an error is displayed, we recommend reviewing the message carefully, as it often identifies the exact field or configuration that needs to be updated.
