Connecting your Purolator account to EasyPost allows you to streamline your shipping process for returns and deliveries. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your integration smoothly.
How to link Your Purolator Account to EasyPost
Pre-Setup Checklist
Puralator Account Type: Ensure your Puralator account is set as Pay on Delivery Return / Bill on Delivery Return, not a standard account. Contact your Purolator account representative to confirm this. Inform them about using EasyPost’s API for label purchases.
Standard accounts incur charges for each label generated, regardless of usage.
EasyPost Account: Sign up for an EasyPost account here if you don’t already have one.
API Key: Generate a production API key from your EasyPost account. If unavailable, contact EasyPost support to enable this feature.
Step 1: Add Your Purolator Account to EasyPost
Navigate to the Carrier Accounts Page:
Log in to your EasyPost dashboard and go to the Carrier Accounts page.
Click Add Carrier.
Search for "Purolator" and select it.
Enter API Credentials:
Use the API details provided by Purolator (Account Numbers, Production API Key, and Production API Key Password) to complete the setup.
You may add a custom reference or description for easier documentation.
If you don't have a Purolator account:
Contact Purolator to request a shipper account. A representative will be in touch for additional details regarding the account.
Inform Purolator about using EasyPost’s API for label purchases.
Acquire rates and align any additional shipping needs.
Obtain the following account credentials:
Purolator Account Number
Production API Key
Production API Key Password
Step 2: Configure Billing and Wallet
Add Payment Methods:
Navigate to the Billing settings in EasyPost.
Add two payment methods:
Bank account (takes 3–4 days for fund transfers).
Credit card (instant, but a 3.75% processing fee applies).
Fund Your Wallet:
Step 3: Connect EasyPost to Reusely
Copy API Key:
Log in to your EasyPost account and copy your API key.
Paste API Key in Reusely:
Go to the Reusely Add-ons page.
Paste the API key in the designated field and click Connect.
Step 4: Finalize Setup
Verify Services:
Ensure your preferred Purolator services are visible.
Select a service as your preferred option and click Save.
Test Integration:
Confirm everything is functioning correctly.
